MAPLE CINNAMON COFFEE WITH COLLAGEN
Enhance your morning coffee experience with this delightful maple cinnamon coffee recipe! It’s easy to make, tastes delicious, and has a nice boost of nutrition from the addition of collagen.
I love coffee just about any way you serve it, but adding a few subtle flavors, like maple or cinnamon in coffee, really is my favorite way to go. I think you’re going to like this one!
CAFE AU LAIT VS LATTE
‘Cafe au lait’ is the French way to say ‘coffee with milk’. A cafe au lait is made with strong brewed coffee and steamed milk, and most often served with equal parts coffee to milk (there is no hard and fast rule on this ratio though).
A latte on the other hand is made with espresso, steamed milk, and topped with foamed milk. A latte will generally contain 1-2 ounces of espresso and 8+ ounces of milk.

OVERVIEW: HOW TO MAKE THIS MAPLE CINNAMON COLLAGEN COFFEE RECIPE
Brew your morning coffee as usual
In a liquid measuring cup, add milk, maple syrup and a few dashes of cinnamon. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute to warm up
Add 1 scoop of collagen to the milk mixture and froth with a handheld milk frother
Pour coffee into your mug, filling it about ⅔ full
Top with frothed milk mixture and a few additional dashes of cinnamon
Want to reduce the number of dishes you use? Warm and froth the milk mixture in the mug you plan to use instead. If you don’t care too much about the amount of frothy milk on top of your cafe au lait, warm and froth the milk mixture in the mug you plan to use and top with coffee instead. Add the dashes of cinnamon on top and enjoy!
What is the best milk to use for a cafe au lait? You can use any type of milk you like to make your maple cinnamon coffee with collagen.
Dairy milk: 2% or whole milk are both great options. Note: the higher the fat content is in your milk, the better it will froth.
Non-dairy milk: oat milk or almond milk are both good alternatives to dairy milk. If you have another non-dairy milk preference, go for it!
No collagen? No problem! If you do not have or do not supplement your diet with collagen, just skip this step. Your coffee will be wonderful without it too.
